Stop Fracking Our Future

Across the country, fracking is contaminating drinking water, making nearby families sick with air pollution, and turning forest acres into industrial zones. Yet the oil and gas industry is pushing to expand this dirty drilling—to new states and even near critical drinking water supplies for millions of Americans.

Protect Crater Lake

Logging companies want to clear-cut old-growth forest around Crater Lake—endangering Roosevelt elk, black bears, bald eagles, spotted owls and spawning salmon. We’re calling on Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden to protect Crater Lake and its inhabitants by designating 500,000 acres as new Wilderness.

Program

No Bees, No Food

Millions of bees are dying off, with alarming consequences for our environment and our food supply. We rely on bees to pollinate everything from almonds to strawberries to the alfalfa used to feed dairy cows. What happens if the bees disappear? It’s simple: No bees, no food.

Keep Plastic Out of the Pacific

A toxic soup of trash called the Pacific Garbage Patch is swirling off our coast. Too much of the trash comes from single-use plastic bags, which choke, suffocate or kill millions of turtles, birds and other marine wildlife each year. Let’s convince our lawmakers to ban the bags and keep plastic litter out of our ocean.

Global Warming Solutions

President Obama’s Clean Power Plan is “the strongest action ever taken by an American president” to tackle global warming. But some of our leaders in Congress have vowed to do everything in their power to stop the plan. Stand with the president for our health and our future, not the polluters.

Conservation America

Our parks, forests and public lands are a big part of what makes this country so great. They’re where we go to spend time outdoors with our families and friends, to hike, bike, fish and see wild animals. Yet instead of helping to protect and preserve our parks and other special places for our kids and future generations, some leaders in Congress have other ideas.
